" Egg Laying Stone" Went to the ER on Sunday. They took X-rays and nothing was broken or chipped. The Doc said that I have a Subungual Hematoma. The pain is from the pressure of the blood building up under the nail. He took a cautery tool and burned some holes in my nail to let the blood out. Instant relief! It is still real ugly and bruised, but the pain is now minimal. Still interesting drawing with a taped up thumb. The flies will get better as it heals (good excuse!)

I hope you feel better soon. I hate hand injuries. They are really uncomfortable and annoying. Even hobbled you draw beautiful flies!
If I could do that with a smashed thumb, I'd smash all my fingers.... ;-) Love the perspective on this one and the minimal touches of color. Great.
